Day 11...Jackpot Here We Come!

Baggage pull at 7am so we had something to eat in our room.  Long drive today.  Today we saw the biggest solar farm!  As we drove past it you could see the panels were set on metal frameworks and apparently they rotated to follow the sun.
Most of the country was pretty desolate.

We saw these hills with snow on them and the moon in the sky.

We stopped at a Sinclair service station for our lunch stop today.

Tonight we're staying at Cactus Pete's in Jackpot, Nevada.  Most of Nevada is on Pacific Time but here in Jackpot they're on Mountain Time, so they're 1 hour ahead.

  1. Sicily also has oodles of large solar farms, I believe they power a good part of the island now, plus several large wind turbines. Your moon over the mountains picture is awesome. Good job.
