Noumea, New Caledonia

Dancers on the dock to welcome us this morning.  I couldn't believe they were dancing bare feet...good thing it was early morning otherwise their feet would have gotten pretty hot on the pavement!

New Caledonia was settled by the French, so all the signage is in French.  We were at a working dock and we weren't allowed to walk on it, so they had a free shuttle bus to take us into town.  This two storey building had little shops selling crafts and such.

I bought a lovely necklace from this lady.

  1. I love the blue top on the right, that's what I'd hoped to get from Cameroon, but Don thought otherwise.
